GDS was appointed to undertake the design and specification for conversion of the redundant day centre into two residential flats for supported housing.
GDS acted as lead designer and provided design for all aspects of the conversion, including Lifetime Homes space standards, fire compartmentalisation and flood mitigation.
GDS obtained consents; prepared the specifications and drawings for the tender package; created the tender report and administered the works on behalf of the employer.
GDS acted at Principal Designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
