Lingfield Lodge was formerly a category two residential facility for older people that also provided care.
The building was considered unsuitable for continued use for this user group and had mounting maintenance costs.
GDS was employed to project manage the design and obtaining consents for a new 48 unit, category three extra care facility incorporating key care and community facilities. Our project management role included overseeing the design, procuring specialists and dealing with site specific surveys, ecological issues, public consultation and obtaining consents.
GDS procured demolition and site clearance as an enabling contract and reverted to the role of employer’s agent post contract.
