Covid-19 Update

As Covid-19 Coronavirus continues to impact people and organisations globally, we want to update you on the steps that we at the GDS are taking to ensure business continuity for our clients.

Our top priority continues to be the health and safety of our employees, clients, contractors and suppliers, while ensuring that our business operations and service levels remain consistent without interruption.

To this end, we have implemented the following sensible preventive measures, and continue to adapt and update  them as required:

  • Where possible we encourage online meetings, but now where required we are attending sites again following Government guidelines on working safely during Covid-19.
  • Whilst we have moved all staff as practically and effectively possible to home working, we are pleased to confirm our office will be opening again from the start of July with a core team in attendance to support the Surveyors provide an uninterrupted service to our clients.
  • Our office has been adapted in line with current recommendations to maintain a safe place to work for our team.

To effectively meet the challenges posed by this virus however, we must all work together. I would be grateful if you could help us in the following ways:

  • If you are aware of an infection in your immediate area, and we are due to visit you in the coming days, please help us contain the virus by informing us prior to the visit. In these circumstances we may have to make alternative arrangements.
  • We would ask all contractors and suppliers to submit their invoices by email, as the email account will be monitored daily. We cannot guarantee such regular monitoring of the postal service.
  • We would also request all clients not to pay by cheque, but wherever possible, to utilise on-line banking.
